I so loved these books. I was a freshman when the first one came out in 1991 and I still have all four. These were way before Twilight, but it looks like due to Twilight's success, they're making the books into a TV series. And, in what I think is fantastic casting, Boone from Lost will be playing Damon. Perfect. Seriously. I planned on watching anyway when I first heard about it. But this makes it even better.
And with a little Googling, I just saw they're releasing three more books in the series. Looks like the first of the new books is already out, I'll have to see if my library has it. :)

I am still waiting for book 3 & 4 of twilight. So tell me what you thought about the movie. I realized after I left my last comment - that you already saw the movie and finished the books - duh. maybe edward can't read bella's thoughts because she is such a nervous nelly and is afraid to think for herself. i watched the movie again and was bugged by bella's character...
Oh goodness.. I don't know if I can handle any more vampires! Only have like 100 pages left of the last Twilight book and I'm kinda honked that Jacob marked the baby. Oh well.. still good reading!
i remember these books!!!! i can't believe it's going to be on TV and there are NEW BOOKS....must reread!!!
