Weekend fun

So Saturday, Emma got to meet 3 of my scrapbook friends - Darcy (and her sister,) Rachel and Nichole. We met them at Archivers after spending the morning at my mom's. It was the big garage sale - I made $5.75. My nieces and nephew made more than me! It was great to meet them and of course Emma was loving all the attention.

Michael took her to a baseball game last night - don't ya just love her little pink tennis shoes?

I took this yesterday. I was sitting on the kitchen floor next to Emma just laughing really obnoxiously. It was an awful sound but she thought it was hysterical! She would laugh every time I did. The picture's a little blurry, but hey, that'll happen.

Cutie pie Emma

First off I have to say - I stink at coming up with titles for these posts! So unoriginal and boring! But I think Emma's cute enough to make up for whatever I lack in title creativity!

Emma is 17 weeks old today. This first picture was taken today at Grandma Sweeney's retirement luncheon. A luncheon that wasn't the greatest for Emma. She woke up fussy and it continued all day. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the bathroom lounge floor. ;) But, she looked adorable in her outfit (from Grandma Sweeney.) It was her firstime with a headband - no one mistook her for a boy today!

Yesterday, I put her in the highchair while we ate lunch. Grandma McIntyre and Grandma & Grandpa Sweeney came over to help me in the yard. It was a jungle out there. Literally. It was so bad that our neighbors on both sides commented on the difference in it last night. You just know that were saying "It's about time!" Anyway, I thought it I put her in the highchair she'd enjoy it, she'd be at our level, could look around. Well, she enjoyed it so much she went to sleep. Doesn't she look so tiny in there?

Sunday, Michael took Emma to church by himself because I had a bridal shower to attend. Don't they look so cute? I had to put the hat on Emma. Weather-wise? Soooo not necessary. Cuteness-wise? Definitely necessary. Of course, I'm sure Michael took it off as soon as they got in the parking lot!

She's doing much better at lifting her head when she's on her stomach. She doesn't cry as soon as we put her that way, but I don't think she's particularly fond of it either.

One cool chick

how do you like Emma's shades? Michael and I got these for her this past weekend at Gymboree - aren't they so cute?! This was at Michael's game Sunday. They were off a few minutes later, she can only take them for so long!

She slept 10 hours last night without waking up once. The kid is a sleeping champ! I, of course, didn't get as much sleep. She ate at 7:30 pm, then went to sleep at 9:30 and didn't get up until 7:30. That meant I kept waking up thinking she would be waking up to eat. She didn't. Tonight, I'm telling myself to stay asleep! Posted by Picasa

Too cute!

I took some pictures of Emma at 8:15 this morning. Yes, I put her in a dress and took pictures bright and early this morning. Couldn't pass up the good light! :)

I love this first picture because you see her eyes are actually blue, not black as they usually look in pictures.

Renee sent this adorable shirt set to Emma. There's a shirt for 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year. I'd meant to take a picture of Emma in the 3 month shirt on May 15th, but forgot. I plan on doing a scrapbook page with pictures on her in all 4 shirts eventually. Thanks Renee!

And as you can see, she really enjoys eating her hands. :)

Emma scrapbook pages

Hi! I thought I'd post some scrapbook pages of Emma over the last 3 months. You can click on them to see them bigger. Keep in mind, I'm not a real good scanner - so they're aren't really crooker/don't have anything cut off/have equal borders! The one page is blurry on purpose, I really like the picture of her, that's why I posted it.

She's 3 months old!

so I'm seriously slacking on this blog. I'm not going to try and play catch up though. Here are some pictures from yesterday. Emma's already three months old! It wasn't a great day yesterday though, I don't think she was feeling very well. Thankfully, Michael was able to get her to smile last night and I got these pictures.

Virginia in pictures - Part One

Last week, Emma and I went with my mom to visit my Grandma and other family in Virginia. We stayed at my Uncle Hugh's and had a great week seeing everyone. The following posts recap our week, but they are in a completely random order, with pictures from different days posted together, and the same days spread throughout the various posts. You can blame Picasa/Blogger for this (since I couldn't upload them all at once) - I did. :)

Emma sleep smiles. I caught this on the way home at a Wendy's.

We went with Regina to Durham NC to go shopping. There was this really neat indoor/outdoor mall. Of course it was raining, so we didn't really enjoy the outdoor part too much!

Emma is usually so good at restaurants, but she had a major meltdown Wednesday night. We went to dinner with my Mom's cousins Reginia and Georgia Brann and my Aunt Shirley. The meltdown wore her out, and she slept like this in my mom's arms for an hour and a half! She was ten weeks old Wednesday!

I love this funny face!

Part Two

With my Grandma. She loved holding Emma, would've held her the whole time if she hadn't needed diaper changes and to be fed!

At Aunt Shirley's.

Conked out in my mom's arms.

At my Grandma's. I love this picture, my Mom's cousin Regina took it.

Part Three

In her Great Grandma's hands. I love this picture. Hands that held my mom and me just like this.

4 Generations. Thanks to the staff member who took this for us.

This was taken on the way home just sitting in the front seat at a rest area. This is her, "Mom, I'm hungry, feed me already" mean face.

With Uncle Hugh the night before we left.
